Chiropractic Adjustments

A whole body approach!

Chiropractic adjustments involve a specific force in a precise direction to help contribute to normalized joint function. When a joint is not moving properly an adjustment is used to help increase range of motion, decrease pain, and increase proprioception (the body's movement and spatial awareness) of the joint[s].

At Mt. Diablo Sport & Spine, our chiropractic adjusting goes beyond the spine. Although the spine is very important, we have made sure we are well-versed in all aspects of the musculoskeletal system. This includes the hips, knees, ankles, shoulders, elbows, wrists, etc.. Research has shown that nagging injuries, such as back pain, can be due to dysfunction in surrounding joints.

We have found that adjustments, combined with exercise therapy and other modalities is one of the most effective ways to manage pain and improve function.
